Sorry man. 55's are plentiful, and one reason is they are too narrow and too tall for a decent sump. Most like to use breeder style that have more capacity at lower water levels.

I have a 55 that was a sump for free if anyone wants (needs a baffle replaced as it was cracked to accommodate a skimmer), and I also have a 55 that's empty and clean up for grabs if anyone wants.

I think you miss understood I have a 55 tank and stand with a 256 watt light I want to trade some one for there sump and return my 55 isn't a sump I need a sump

Hey Rob, I believe what Andy is trying to tell you is that 55gl tanks are very easy to come by so the chances of anyone wanting to trade anything for one is pretty slim. In the same message Andy is letting everyone know that he has a couple of 55's that he would like to unload. If you dont get any interest here you might want to try listing it on Craigslist.;) Here's a link to a sump for sale on the selling forum:

Ok man thanks for the link I don't have permission to view lol I think I need more post how hard is it to build your own sump I tink I may go that route and try to keep my 55 or just sell it cheap

Building a basic sump is pretty easy. I am doing it now myself. Get a correct sized tank for your needs... Get some glass cut for your baffles ... silicone them in.

What size skimmer are you putting in it? That usually is a good starting place. I'd think a 20 long would be a good match. I still consider myself a noob on most things so I'd see what others chime in with.

Yeah it would be sweet if some one would help because I have no clue how to build one any one want to help a new guy out
