please help me i'm struggling here:mad2:

Trying to figure out this dern acjr and dc8.

Can anyone help me with these questions/assumptions? Please?
I plugged in my unit this am, after programming. They green light is on, and when I pugged the controller in, the light started flashing (receiving info) and I could hear the relays/switches opening/closing. However, when testing outlets, all but the 1st outlet were "œon". Only 3 or 4 should have been "œon"

1. I think the outlets on the dc8 are 1-4 (left to right on top row) and 5-8(left to right on bottom row
2. I assume when programming, the first item you program (in my case a light) corresponds with outlet #1 from above? The second item you program goes with outlet #2, and so on?
3. There are 4 tiny switches/toggles on the left /front side labeled 1,2,3,4. They are all currently in the "œoff" position. Do any/what combination of these need to be "œon"?
4. There are two "œphone line" jacks next to the toggles. Which one do I plug the controller/head unit in to? (left side or right?)
5. Any other tricks/info that I am missing?
I can post my programing tonight, but I think I am doing it correctly. For example, my heater outlet was "œon" and my programming is "“ if temp < 77.5 then het on. If temp > 78.5 then het off.
This should turn heater on at 77.5f and off at 78.5f, correct?
I'm totally confused, this is a used unit, maybe it is bad/broken?
Thanks a lot!!!!!

o-k , i have answered #1 , #2 and #4 for myself --

still have the toggle/switch questions...
let me see if this is correct- i have a single dc8 so after reading the acjr manual and the dc-8 manual, it appears as though i should have the switches as follows: 1 off, 2 off, 3 on, 4 off.
toggles 1 and 2 -off- should correspond (according to the table on the dc8 manual) with turning "on" the control letter (a) for the (single) dc8.
toggle 3 -on- should correspond to control #'s 1-8 for the eight outlets on the single dc8
toggle 4-off-is unused.

is this correct?
will my head unit talk nice to my dc-8?
thanks!

not the easiest to program....

Its not broken. I used until I took out of service. I never touched the toggles. You can plug it into in any phone plug style hole. As for programming you need to remember the out let's go
1234
5678 the outlets next to the power cord are 1 and 5.

got it. i finally figured it out last night. i had to reset it, and start over.
part of the problem i was having (it was really confusing me since i started checking everything from outlet #1) is that the #1 outlet is not working at all. it stays off no matter what. i tried manually turning it on, and it says it's on , but no power.

no worries, i am only using 6 outlets anyway.

it is working great now, just what i needed
thanks again shawn!
