I need an answer before it goes in the tank

I have had my single ocellaris for over six months now. I was given another, single kept, ocellaris yesterday. The one that was given to me is a little larger and about 2 years old.
Do you think it will be a problem sticking the two in the same tank?
The new one is hanging out in the sump. TIA

I had a single ocellaris for at least a year and decided to get a smaller one the day I purchased him I also purchased a BTA. I put them both in and at first the larger one was a bit unhappy but now, as you can see from my avetar all is happy. I say give it a try. If it does not work take him out

put them both in the sump at the same time...let them get used to each other then put them both back in the main tank...

oops..just saw new one is already in the sump....put the old one in there too..its a new place for both of them so no territorial issues...let them get used to each other for a day or so then plop em both in the main tank//////adding a new nem is an excellent idea if ur tank can support it.....i added a new smaller ocell. to my 75 gal with an older larger one that had been in the tank for 3 months. I also added another h.crispa at the same time so each had their own nem and no probs what so ever..new smaller went right into the male submissive behavior and bigger female took charge...very little fighting if any.

Don't do it. I think all of the people advising you to try it out missed the part about both clowns being kept alone in a tank for long periods of time...the odds of them both being female are too high to risk it.

I had them both in a 10 gallon for about an hour and everything seemed to be fine. The smaller one was the dominant one. they were just shaking their tales at each other but no biting or fighting. I did put them both in my tank and the little one kept chasing and biting the bigger one. They are separated again and I will try to find a home for the bigger one-on a side note I am glad that clown fish are easier to catch than a baseball!
