If anyone can help me identify and inform me of treatment for my Percula, I would appreciate it. These black spots occured within a few days. My daughter thinks they are freckles:lol:

Clown Fish disease, or black ich. A freshwater dip and then treat with formalin and quarentine. Google clownfish disease, that will tell you everyting you need to know.

Thats not black ich... dots are way too large. It's just a case of Hyper-Melaninization which is caused my corals/anemone stings (nematocysts). Nothing to worry about.

Ok reefers, after spending a few hours on the internet this is what i came up with. no visible symptoms as to a parasite but dipped in a formilin bath anyway. Pete and RePete (names of our perculas) are doing well. Andrew thanks for the info.I never would have guessed. However, my loving wife believes that they are freckles. Thanks again everybody for your input. Merry Christmas
