I need help setting up my sump

I'm not sure how to setup my sump with my skimmer or where to plumb in my filter sock

The drain line should drop into the first small chamber in the left and have the filter sock on the end. Skimmer goes in the middle where you have it and the return pump in the far right chamber.

Your sump looks a bit small for that size skimmer.

Its the return where the skimmed water should exit.

This may help. That pipe coming out of the skimmer is not part of the actual sump plumbing.

Excellent layout in that pic. That skimmer looks too big for that sump, and that return section is rather large. Just some observations.

How do you set up the pump to where it sends back the right amount of water?

How do you set up the pump to where it sends back the right amount of water?

You either throttle back the pump(DC pump, or gate valve on the return line), or throttle back the amount of water entering the sump to match the pump speed with a gate valve on the siphon line.

I use a combination of DC pump adjustment and ball valve to dial in the amount of water delivered and pressure.
