I need help with my anenome....BAD!

So I picked up a BTA a little over a month ago. To my surprise, my O Clown was a full host within 2 weeks.

The problem is now, the anenome has moved to the ultimate sweet spot of my rockwork where all my prized SPS are. When it expands it is almost touching the tips of most of my larger colonies.

For those of you that have heard of Marcos rock, that is what I have. Its foot is way in a hole and impossible to get to.

Is there any other safe way to move this thing?

I really do not want to get rid of it after mu clown took to it right away:(

BTAs move. SPS corals will get stung, even killed. In my tanks BTAs are priority. Research an animal before you buy it.

There is no "safe" way to move a BTA, and expect it to stay there, especially if it is deep inside the rock.

I'm not gonna be as blunt, basically, what he said.

I'd move the corals, or allow the BTA to kill off the areas it encroaches upon....you're not going to get the anemone out of there w/o causing a mess in your tank one way or another...

I did.....many people told me that once it finds a spot it will most likely not move.

After a month+ this has not been the case!

If its still moving, its not happy, and its trying to get that way.

Ok thanks. It has stayed where I did not want it to for a few days. I am going to hang in there and move some acros.

I can't take it away from my clown.

I have had a bta and a carpet move all over any kind of sps you could think of w/o damage. I just kept moving them until the anem settled. Just dont let them stay in contact for long. Also cover your powerhead intakes.

And like red vipe said. If you point a powerhead close to the anem, not too much. He should move.

I have a huge purple LTA that absolutely refuses to cooperate. It stayed put for almost two years, then a few months ago it started moving. Usually it stays put for a few weeks, then finds a new spot. The tank is now dedicated to the LTA, a few zoas and the clown.

Yikes:eek2: I do NOT want that to happen... I love my LPS and SPS too much!
