I need help with new light, please help

but wouldn't it rip out of the wall? How could that white stuff hold all that weight? I'm really dumb when it comes to that stuff lol.

Oh and inverting the legs will only work lengthwise so it wouldn't work for my problem.

ahhh i tired that, now it will fit the width, but now it isn't 24" long so it wont reach the edge......grrrr can i just sit in on the tank withotut the legs? lol

when you screw hangers into the wall they need to be into a stud (wood 2x4) or have special dry wall screws.

You should go post in the regional boards that you need some help im sure someone is around you and would help you

I doubt drywall screws or molly bolts wold hold it. The light hangers needs to be in the studs. That goes for both the wall and the ceiling, whichever you hang it from.

dont worry about the wholes. Anyone that moves in hangs pictures and such. This hole wont be any bigger then hanging up a picture.

try another configuration of the legs...it should work...its kinda weird to figure but I did it w/mine..unless yours may be a little different...good luck

Well, I picked up the tank and with the legs inverted it wouldn't work at all. And like i figued the fixture is too wide. Here is a pic of the fexture next to the tank. I really love this tank by the way, wonder why more people don't have 25 gals(nanos), it's even taller than most other tanks 29gal, ect..., it's 20" high

But I think my hasband came up with a good idea about the light problem. Normally he's not very much of a "handy man" but i think he was pretty smart this time lol

We are going to pick up 2, 2x4s and run each one from the floor to the top of the tank on the back of the tank and stand. Well the top of the wood should be flush with the edge of the tank and we will screw it into the stand to it will be really sturdy and even have the floor as support too. I don't know if you guys quite understand what i'm talking about, but i'll get pics when we do it, i'm going to paint the wood black too so it will look good and match the tank.

haha, superglue. i have my lights resting on 2 boards that i proped up on top of my tank and superglued into place

I figured out what i did wrong (with help) lol I inverted the legs wrong, there was 2 ways to invert the legs so the other way ended up working. I was going to use 2x4s :D
