i need help!

currently have a 210 inwall setup. i am going to take it out of the wall so the baby can have a room. i put the tank in the wall and have some skills building things...

here is my question. the stand i am wanting to put the tank on will be 8 feet long and about 3 feet wide. i want as much space as i can under the tank. i need to have enough room for a 75 gallon sump, and a big skimmer, as well as some other reef stuff type equipment. the stand has to be made out of wood. with the tank being 6ft long and only 29in wide, i want the tank to sit in the middle of the stand. what is the best way to make sure this tank is supported? does most of the support need to be on the ends? what wood would you use to do this? 2x4s, 2x6s,

the current in wall setup i did all 2x4s... but i have nothing underneath it. with this going in the living room i need to hide all the goodies so no one sees them.

i looked around the big tank section here and could not really find any good pictures of what i am looking for. if you have some pictures or know a good thread that could lead me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. i look forward to doing a build thread on this great site!

This is the design I used. I used 2x6 around the rim and 2x4x in the corners.

Good luck

thanks for the sketch up! it is really helping me.

i think i will use the 2x6s and the 2x4s the same way. i think i will also make the stand wider and longer by using the 2x4s. there wont be any stress on the wider and the longer part. it will be just for looks and to make sure i get the room that i need. the main support will be right under the 210. i am going to get wood tomorrow, and i will start a build thread.... i am so excited! this is going to be a slow build i know for sure..... i may start the build thread tonight..... now that i am thinking about it...

do you think this design would hold up for a 210?

The only thing I'm wondering about is the 2x6's..... I would use 2x8's at least so there is little to no deflection in the boards.
Not saying it wouldn't work with 2x6's so thats why I asked if he uses it for a 210 gallon.
