I need lighting advice

I am planning on setting up an anemone tank of mini carpet anemones and a condy anemone. I have a tank but it is only four pieces of glass with a bottom so I have to buy everything else. I need a hood and would appreciate if it already had the proper lighting with it. Can anybody here suggest a good hood? The anemones are the only photosynthetic elements in the tank outside of the planned macro algae. If you need a size it is a thirty gallon tall.

My first advice is not to put a Condylactis in with other species of anemone. Condy's are notorious wanderers and, in my opinion, need a dedicated species tank.

As for lighting, any reef type lighting would be fine (T-5, metal halide, or even power compacts would be fine for minis. You can go online (Drs. Foster and Smith, Hellolights, Aquacave, etc.)and find a hood that fits your tank (I'm assuming a 29-gallon, which is 30 inches in length).

A 30 Tall is hard to light for anemones, if I recall it's 24" wide and 24" tall. That means four T5 or a 250W MH, or comparable in LED. Your anemones may still stick to the higher levels.

I wouldn't consider that reef lighting. T-8s aren't intense lighting. You need the types of lighting listed in my earlier post.
