my supermarket stopped carrying it and i can find any

Chris, I've been looking for a while and finally had to resort to That Fish Place for kalk. If you can wait, I think you can order direct from Mrs. Wages website. Hope that helps!

i just may have to do that. my superfresh just stopped getting it:( im kinda bummed about that because this was the only place ive seen it in the past 2 years

Hey Chris!

I've got about a pound of coralife kalwasser PLUS with trace of strontium and iodine if you want it. no charge. I tried dripping kalc a couple years ago and didnt like the side effects and hassle with all my little tanks. good stuff. I'm just knot a dripper. more of a dumper. send PM if you need my number.

It's Yours !!

im in north wilimington

The store is called Pleasant Valley. It's just off 472 (less than a mile) on Sproul Rd. heading east. Sproul Rd is just about 1/2 way between Quarryville and Rt 1 on 472. If you are heading towards Quarryville, Sproul will be about a mile past a BIG brick church on the right.

I'd be really surprised if they didn't have pickling lime. And I'm sure if they don't, they'll know somewhere that will.

My next try would be Kaufmann's on Rt 340, but that's a bit more of a haul.

If that don't get you there, let me know. I'll get better directions.

Oh, yeah. If you feel like you're pulling into someones driveway, it's because you are. And park in the parking spaces, not @ the hitching post.

Barb and i go the our regular super market today(the one ive asked a million times about pickling lime) and what do i see? 13 cans of pickling lime on the shelf where they used to keep it. i say to Barb "why would they have this now? its after canning season" so we load all 13 cans into the cart. a few min later i just have to go ask what the deal is. so i bring a can with me to the counter, and i say "see this can, this is what i always ask for you to get for me and nobody ever knows what im talking about and you never order it, can i talk to who ever is in charge of ordering it so i can explain what i use it for and how fast i go through it" they say "he's not here today but this lady can help you" so i explain what i use it for, how much it costs at a fish store, that i go through 1# per week and that there are many other people just like me that will come here just for this and that if they keep it in stock they will so much of this stuff its not funny. the lady says to me "i do the inventory and we have had cases of that stuff in the back room for a long time, we don't usually put it out because we dont sell very much of it" arggggggggg!!!! i felt like buying every case they had.

anyhow super fresh on Philadelphia Pike has it. you can also get a less pure grade at Sweeny Seed Co. but only in 5# bags. im still looking for 50# bags of food grade or chemical grade. if anyone can find it chime in!

Hey Guys... I saw pickling lime at willey farms a couple of weeks ago... thought about picking some up, but I have a ton of kalk... might want to call first to make sure its the right stuff, but i was pretty sure...

I found this place that's a local distributor for this place. They will not deal with individuals, only companies.

Not sure if this info helps, but if you have your own company (or know someone who does), it might be an option.
