I need some fish!

Two questions really. Where are you folks buying fish these days?? Everything close to me has closed in the last couple of years, and I am in the middle of nowhere anyway. I haven't bought any fish in several years and am down to a pair of clowns, a huge engineer gobie, and a yellow tang that has been with me for almost 5 years. I have put off adding fish in this tank because I am worried about how territorial he is likely to be at this point, but this tank (92 gallons with live rock and soft corals) is looking bare! Would love to try a banner fish, but not sure if that is a good idea either. I need suggestions about where to buy/order and if there are any fish that might make it under the tang's radar. Or that would back him off!

I agree that online may be the way I have to go, but my quarantine tank is only 10 gallons, so that pretty much rules out multiples at once. And there is still the (clue in the JAWS music!) TANG problem?

As for compatibility, I'd try the thread in the newbie forum that skorvic (sp?) answers. That guys is a wiz.

For online orders, you could always try to find some local people to group buy with to cut down on that shipping cost. LiveAquaria.com has free shipping for anything over $250. I'm going to probably make an order there myself in a few weeks. Carbon Hill isn't too far from b'ham!

I would like to temporarily take down my tank to redo my basement. I have three yellow tangs, 1 powder blue (they all get along great, had them for a year, maybe two - at least), a cleaner wrasse, and bicolor blenny. I could setup this 37G that I have to clear the basement and take your yellow tang to alleviate any issues. I'll keep my clowns and lawnmower blenny.

Hmoore, That is so nice of you to offer! Fishie people really are the best! I appreciate so much but am really worried that the only way I would get that Tang out of there is to take the tank down to the bare bottom; which is what I have had to do every time I have moved him. Just not sure I am ready to do that yet!

I have had great success with fish from Aquarium Imports! I would quarantine no matter where you buy from, either at a store/online. If you are going to add any more tangs, I would do two of them at one time and (big) maybe that will distract the yellow tang.
