Disaster struck today, my 29gal tank started leaking all over the floor and I had to empty it, my B&W clown the LTA she hosts in are in a 10 gal emergency tank at the moment.:(

Here is my issue, I have a 125g tank that is bare bottom and has a pair of occy's in it, they host in a frogspawn since there are no nems in the 125.

If I add sand to the 125, can I put the small B&W in the 125 with the pair of occy's or will they fight?

The B&W has been hosting in the LTA for years, if I put them in the 125 will the occy's steal the LTA away from the B&W?

Any help is greatly appreciated, I am so bummed right now:sad1:

You can always make an eggcrate wall to separate the tank into two parts while they either get used to each other, or prove they never will.

In my experience if the Clownfish pair are well established, they will seek out and kill most any rivals. So it all depends on how old they are. If over 2 years old I'd buy the largest breeder net in-tank enclosure to keep the smaller pair in. They might seem fine when you first add them, but you could wake up to some Dead fish if you don't keep them separated.

Like hanover stated put egg crate divider to seperate the clowns,if you have a bowl to put sand in for the anemone until you set up a seperate tank for the clowns.

thanks guys, I was actually asking because i wanted to move them into the 125 permanently because I didn't want to set up another tank, but it doesn't look like that's a good idea. sometimes i really hate this hobby.
