I need some help..

Doomed

I have these little anemone looking things in my tank that are driving me crazy. I have tried using Aiptasia X on them and they survive..

What are these things called?
Is there anything I can put in my tank that will eat them??

Heres a picture of what I'm talking about. There is one right in the middle of this picture.

Thanks,

I believe the emerald crab can eat the bubble algae and also keepin params at 0 so it doesnt have anything to feed on...
Manually removing the algae can bring problems because if you burst the bubble you can end up with more bubbles around the tank...

Good Luck!

IME, bubble algae is one of the least nutrient demanding algae out there. I also think you need to manually remove it first and then stay on your tank husbandry to keep it gone. I have used tubing (usually airline tubing is of sufficient diameter) with the tip cut off at an angle to siphon the bubbles right out of the tank and that method seems to work very well.

Agree those look like mojanos which thankfully I have never had the pleaseure of dealing with. Joe's Juice works for me with aiptasia and is supposed to work on mojanos as well.

There is a thread on another forum about a guy that made a device for electrocuting them. It doesn't really electrocute them, it creates a chlorine gas that destroys them. If you do a search on google for 'electrocuting mojanos' you'll find it. Wasn't sure if I could post a link directly since it is from another board. Good luck.
