ok, so i bought this carpet off a good reefer and the carpet was doing excellent in her tank.how since i had him, this is what he looks like.its been 2 weeks and still looks the same. i feed him after i had gotten him 2 silverslide fish and he ate them.so i think.i no for a fact he ate my orbic bat fish and my zebra eel this week.is this normal?? the bottom of this foot its looks like he is peeling?.. i checked all the water perm. and everything is good. i even did a w/c for the heck of it.any help would be greatly app.thanks
 
2 silversides a Bat fish and an Eel. He probably has a tummy ache :)
Seriously though just leave him alone and hope. Don't feed him anymore for a couple weeks.
 
^ what that guy said. i would just leave him and see what he does. i know thats not the news you want to hear, but it is what it is.
 
also i was thinking, what type of flow do you have on it? what kind is it? it kinda looks like a saddle.
 
try wet web media bob fenner has all the answers. it looks to me like it's trying to take a dump but i have very little experience with carpets most anenomes breath by swelling up then expelling everything then returning to normal every so often thus their sensitivity to water quality so in my opinion i would say it is either breathing or crapping
 
^ yeah, I hate to say it but it's chances of making it are pretty slim, i'm not sure i've ever seen one recover after being at that stage. Keep a close eye on it and be ready to remove it so it doesn't nuke your tank.
