Something bad happens with my SPS's .
All big colonies begin to die from bottom .
I checked, alkalinity level was very low, one week ago I raised level to 8 but fell again to around 4 .
What causes so fast fall alkalinity ? Now I have 6,7 KH / alkalinity around 2,40meg/L
What method now can hold back atrophying of corals effectively ?

Sorry for my bad english,
thanks for any help,

Best Regards
mk

-daily 2 part calcium/alkalinity dosing(ex.ESV B-Ionic)
-your SPS use up your calcium and alkalinity everyday, so you need to replenish it everyday

17 colonies around 4-5" big and 26 frags 1-3"big, tank 190gal, you think they resorb so fast alkalinity ?
I don't dose now calcium because is still too high, around 600 ppm .

thanks

I think because your calcium is so high, your alk is low. Calcium affects alk, if one goes up, the other comes down. Try raise your alk.

You definitively right Lights Are Bright, this sounds logically now.
Thank you guys
