I have a very nice small mushroom colony complete with very healthy sea squirts in the rock work.
The cap on the one I want to clip off is over14" DIAMETER when fully open. That will leave multiple caps in an assortment of colours. The next biggest one is about 6". the assortment of other mushrooms are blues, greed, red/brown and brown in the colony. Last check there were at least 14 other mushroom of various sizes and colours on the one piece of rock. Must of them close are right on top of various seas squirts.
The reason for moving the big cap is because it throws shade on a rather large section of my tank. I am concerned by moving the cap too much light will get to the extremely established well shaded sea squirts now live.. There are about 6 squirts on this piece of rock. All the squirts are doing great.
Any thoughts on the best way to do this?
