i need to know witch is better

OK for my mom im going go by her a 3g picotope or 2.5g and put the pump and light in it.
Now heres the question, witch one should i get .

cus i know the picotope is around 40$ and the ones at petco are like 7-8$ but the lights cost 28$ pump 10-15$ so..witch one is better for the money and for the look of the tank.

go for the one that looks better, if you dont care about the looks, then go for the one that offers the best view inside the tank, if you dont care about looking inside the tank, just go for the bigger one, cuz bigger is better . but in the long run, you will be happier if you pick the one you like, or the one that will best suit what you want to keep.
