I only have enough interceptor for two treatments. Will two be enough?

I'm trying to kill a small population of red bugs in my 225. I only have two pills of interceptor. I was going to use one pill per treatment. I have abut 300 gallons of water in my system so one pill would be a slight overdose. Would two treatments take care of it or do I need three. Should I just wait longer between treatments? Like 12 days?

If it's a small population. Why not do it 4 times to be save. I like to treat it 3 to 4 if possible. Just my .02

Not that I know anything. But I treated one time, a bit more than recommended, but it killed them all and have not seen them since.

yea the stuff is expensive. our vet was being a douche and wouldn't prescribe me more. to my ignorance i had enough at home to treat with.

i had the wife swing by and pick more up for me.

Yep twice will do fine. Just leave it in longer before you do a water change and start running carbon. When I did it I left it in for 12h.

follow the proper instructions and timeframes or they will be back in time. 2x's won't help you.

I recommend the three treatments, but it most likely isn't necessary.

I treated about a year ago, ONE time, and do not have any red bugs whatsoever. I've even added frags with them on it several times (dipping them prior to introduction) and am red bug free. I did overdose by about 20%, and let it run for 18 hours.

So, one is good, two is better, but three is best - just to be safe.

yup...

i did it wrong several times and watched as they came back after 6 months or so

the three treatment system outlined here on rc works. while deviating from the system may, IME it was short lived

visually the problem will appear to be solved after one treatment, I think this causes confusion

Are you speaking from experience? Has this happened to you?

K. I wanted to overdose it a bit but I guess I'd be better off following the directions more closely. I'm going to split the two doses into three. Thanks!
