The store didn't know what two frags I was intrested in were so they texted live aquaria and said it was a cyphastea coral the other finally got a name but was ready to leave so I got this first one didn't get second one because the merulina coral in the book didn't look like this one I may have botched the spelling

Looks like some sort of favia. But I'm probably wrong
Any merulinas I have seen grow more cup-like . But then again, they weren't that small

That is a terrible pic of the one I got. It has a light purple base green eyes but the very center is orange maybe when it opens can take a better one

I have it pretty low in the tank bottom 1/3 and there is a little overhang it is under. flow probably pretty low but i dont think flow is important according to several searches.

Cyphastrea Coral is moderately easy to care for, requiring moderate to strong aquarium water movement combined with moderate lighting conditions achieved by T-5s, powerful LEDs or the more intense metal halides.

Now that I'm looking at that second pic on my pc and not my cell phone, I think it could possibly be a merulina frag. Here's a shot of mine when I had it.
(Sorry for the crappy pic)

And as I paying someone texted back said it was merillina and I did a quick search said it was difficult and aggresive he had a book behind the counter that said easy and peaceful

Its a leather. Looks like a green colt coral to me.

Looks like it might be a green Nepthea but you will have to wait until it opens up to tell.

+1 to MPgrants statement. That's a great little leather, it looks healthy and I bet its going to be a cool looking once it opens.
