probley a simple question but an important one. What items and/or methods have you guys found to work well for smaller mantis shipping. Thanks for any help.

I thought I covered it. How small do you mean? Postlarvae and juveniles in the 8-15 mm range can be shipped in a 100 ml plastic bottle 1/4 full of water. If you can find a small styrofoam container that will help control temperature changes but using wrapping the bottle in aluminum foil and packing the bottle in bubble wrap sealed in a cardboard box is usually suffcient. A 15 mm animal can easily last two days in a bottle this size.

im hopefully getting a two of them one is 2 inch and the other around 1 inch. Not to sound stupid but would an aquafina water bottle work or are you reffering to somthing thicker.

Designer water (non-flavored) are what we often use. They are clean, the animals cannot break them and they are light. For a two inch animal, you will need a liter bottle. Never, never, never use a plastic bottle that has contain a soft drink. Chemicals absorb to the plastic and even if you boil them, they will still kill your animal.
