I'm a member of a particular local club in my area, which is basically a money catcher for a particular store in my area, and always wanted to connect with some hobbyists near me without any affiliation other than just loving the hobby. I hope this will be that place. Have you all ever organized any meetings? Is there a particular way i can become a member other than subscribing? Also I recently gave away many, many expensive fish from my tank, do you all ever organize things such as this, trades, etc....

The userbase for this forum is still pretty small. Actually, this forum used to belong to the local club refered to above but they decided divorce from Reef Central. A few of us didn't want to lose this venue, so it got renamed to A.R.S.

I would like to see us peacefully cohabitate with other are clubs/groups/reefers since we are in such a small area. Some people are active members of the other site and also post here. The same can be said about shops, Fuji's, Jo-Mars, etc all have something to offer.

There has been some talk of arranging a very unformal meeting at some point but those plans haven't made it very far. I'm sure it will happen before long if there is interest.

BTW, Welcome and I'm glad you found us. :)

Pull up a chair and get comfortable 'cause you've found the place and that's all it takes to be a member.
Rumors to the contrary aside we're all pretty laid back, friendly and don't bite.

Like Carb said we have vague plans to get together someday.
Now that Summer's over :sad2: hopefully traffic here will pick up then we can get a little more organized and put something together.

We trade and sell among ourselves all the time. We also do some group buys occasionally.

Welcome aboard our little corner of the net.

Not to hijack your thread (We'd never do that round here:dance::dance:) but anybody want to do a cleaner critter group buy?

Well, (unfortunately) As of right now, I have a FOWLR, however I am in the midst of setting up a 50 gallon reef, prolly invert only tank, with maybe some mandarins, when I do this, I would love too though, great to be here! You all should check out my tank vid. I will post a link shortly, because I'm getting ready to record a new video as i type this, so leave some feedback!

Actually the cleaner crew would be good for a FOWLR tank too. Rocks and food and stuff need to be cleaned up in there too!

Not many people posting lately, including myself. But with winter coming more people with start to post and put more attention into their tanks. Me included. I have been throwing around the idea of having a small frag swap at my place sometime late winter. Not sure if I will but I might.

Post away...

I'm actually sitting pretty good now but you might get more response if you start a new thread.

No use for a cleaner crew in my tank, If you look at the inhabitants in my signature, they wouldn't last very long. You have any cids of those FOWLR tanks?
