I Spy 2 -- Refined Rules

Man, there must be a bazillion pictures of mandarins out there! A steal is not likely, but I'm TRYING!!

Edit: MotherFish just OWNED me!!

How did you find that?

+1 to MotherFish.

Sorry you can't stay Sugar. Hope to see you again tomorrow. Don't let Lincoln get away! ;)

I too need to do some other things. Anyone else wish to riddle? Please familiarize yourself with the rules if you have not done so already.

And here I've been just looking around until I find the same picture!! Well then, that certainly makes my two steals look all that much more impressive, doesn't it! In fact, doesn't that make stealing too easy at this point? Unless someone uses one of their own pictures, a steal would be a cinch.

Okay Token, take it away. PM the answer to me, but I still get to ask one question before I look at it. :)

Just remember, no riddling points awarded if you use all 3 declines and no answer is found.

Oh... and YES/NO. Thanks. :)

Actually no. Sugar just isn't trying. You can copy any photo to a photobucket account (for example) and a link to that photo does not qualify as a steal.

Unknown degree of specificity is an issue that so far we have simply muddled thru. If you have any suggestions for a more quantifiable approach, I would be happy to hear them.

I would say if there are more then 1 type, coloration, difference even between male/ female (like w/ male/female blue throat triggers for example), or any other significant difference it should go down the line to the exact type the original is looking for..... kind of like saying the thing in question is a monti, instead of an orange cap or a green digi, or just saying anemone and not sebae or RTBA etc. While it might make the game a little harder and time consuming could make it even more fun as it does add a level of difficulty :)

I see your point, but there is more to consider. If we get too specific, we exclude the noobs (like myself), and the point of this game, in truth, is to help players, readers, and even riddlers alike, to learn something new.

So far we have done it this way...
Not anemone, but type of anemone. Not algae, but type of algae (diatom, coraline, green-hair). The hardest seems to be fish. In fact I think fish might do better if we were less specific, such as wrass rather than mystery wrass. At the moment, I'm leaving this up to each individual riddler. If there is a dispute, I'll do my best to resolve it to all players satisfaction.
