I'm pretty much an ultra newb as I don't even have my tank up lol. But I see your point, and do agree... for the purpose, type is probably better then specific... although there are some rare cases where a few don't fit the norm for that type lol. Mandarin's themselves are kind of different then other goby's (since they are included in the goby family on most sites, eventhough they are actually dragonettes from what I've read lol). Also there are different wrasses that also don't fit the "norm" for wrasses (including reefsafe/ not reef safe) lol
