i started my tank after a few years of life i need some advice

i have my tank sitting for 2 or 3 months with alittle kelp and fish food in it cycling it, what are the kids ineed to get the nitrate nitetrie and alk right? in which order is the nitrite first the nitrate next >?

Do a few water changes a week to speed the process. Maintain lights off until levels stabilize and avoiding green hair algae from growing. Once nitrate nitrite levels subside introduce 1 fish. Slowly begin to add more fish but with enough time for water levels to stabilize. Water changes is key.

The nitrogen cycle is ammonia, nitrite then nitrate. You should read ammonia first you can use something like an API kit

Then the ammonia should go down and nitrite will rise, there are plenty of test kits for nitrite (red sea, salifert, hanna)

Then the nitrite should convert to nitrate I use red sea for that.

Get your cycle complete then worry about alk when you looking to add coral, your water changes should keep alk in line until then.

Get some tests for alk, salinity, for starters. I prefer to check 3 ways: alk, calcium, magnesium, because I find it easier to stabilize water quality that way (they lock into balance) even if I'm not running any stony coral. My sig has the parameters I keep locked into.
