I think I finally beat ich

My display has been fallow since July 1st. I lost over half my fish to ich. Tried hypo first, that didn't work. Then tried copper and tested daily, that worked a little bit but once I took them off the copper, ich still kept popping back up. It was also pretty hard to keep copper levels consistent, even while testing daily. Decided to give TTM a try. Went out and bought all the equipment I needed. Two of everything. Well, I finally just got done with TTM. Did my final transfer this morning. It seems to have worked. I don't notice any signs of ich on my fish. They are in a 29 gallon QT that I'm keeping them in for 2 weeks of observation before I put them back in my DT. Going to treat with prazi pro also while I have them in there.

I think I finally beat ich

Great to hear! I've lost the best looking tank to ich and commend those who saved their fish. Keep us updated, I'd like to know how it goes. Good luck!

If anything you should check out some of new life spectrums new products against parasites. It's call ich shield. It's a chloroquine based medications which is better and safer than copper. They also have pellets that have chloroquine in them which are "reef safe" as long as you don't let the pellets touch any corals. You should give it a look. I've heard nothing by good things from it

NLS ich shield products are great but not 100% effective. The powder is not effective against some strains of ich, I lost 2 fish while treating with this. The pellets, you have to get your fish to eat that consistently for 30 days. Most fish will last about a week. Best method is TTM by far.

Yeah I think TTM is best by far too. I'm not interested in using Ich medication or trying another method after trying this. It's easy and it works.
