I spent a good amount of money on a few of their products and it seems impossible to buy the magnet part for my power head anywhere locally... I cleaned the tank all and the suction cups and about 10 mins later the POS falls off and starts blowing stuff all over in my tank again.. It has killed a few things already.. I feel that if a company is going to make something that has this many problems that they should upgrade customers to a better base for free or charge shipping.. No one stocks their parts and for the people saying the suction cups might need to be changed they arent very old...........

where can i buy the magnet base for this thing????????????

I'm not sure what your products exact problem is, but in my 2.5 years of monitering Tunze stuff here on RC, I can easily say the Roger Vitko has always provided customer service WAY above the call of dutyââ"šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Âparticularly when you consider it's a German imported product... He has a very close relationship with the mother company in Germany, who seem to be very concerned as well with maintaining their reputation of excellenceââ"šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Âparticularly when problems arise (even Mercedes Benz has recalls, you realize)...

I'm sure that Roger will take care of you and your product's problem... Stop, take a breath, and realize things will be okay...

Marine Depot has almost all parts in stock, I stock them all here. Suction cups only last about 6-9 months and that is why we no longer use them. If you have a pump that came with suction cups it is at least a few years old. We quit using them for just that reason but they can still be had as a spare part. I am sorry, I have a horrible internet connection and they still haven't fixed my DSL line so I likely won't be back online until the end of the day. If you go to www.tunze.com you can see our list of dealers, we also sell parts direct and you should have absolutely no trouble getting parts.

Loudsystem, you can also call Aq Arts - ask for Kingsley. He has gotten me three, he might be able to order parts if he doesn't have them in stock.

480-820-8688 I think is the phone number. Scary that I have it memorized.

Hold out for it, it's worth the wait.

yes i think they are one of the best stores in arizona but its a 40 mins drive which i dont care

problem i have is i bought all of my tunze stuff there and i still get **** service.. They never call me back. I talked to them about that magnet peice already.. They had one i guess and woudlnt sell it to me because someone else already bought it. Ive delt with them for a while. They have good products and offer good service if you are infront of them but other than that you are on your own.. They are where ever i live on 67th AVE and thunderbird.. Its FAR.

Side note everything ive bought from there does awesome

i have a receipt that says its not a few years old.... Ill find it and scan it.. Its not even a year old

I know Marine Depot (www.marinedepot.com) recently received some magnets.

Have you used a rail to attach the powerhead? I use one and it works great.

Suction cups just don't cut it over time, whether Tunze makes them or some other manufacturer. Plus, snails tend to chew on the edges which makes them lose their grip.

It sounds like the problem is how you're mounting it, and not the powerhead itself. Fortunately, Tunze provides options for this type of situation, unlike most other manfacturers.

It's a bummer having to wait for some of their products to come into stock, but I've always found it worthwhile.

i agree the pump its self and my skimmer rock.. Due to my tank design i can only use a magnet base or the suction cups.. The cups are no longer a choice so it just kinda hangs there off for now

I think the dealer included the suction holder on the side, we haven't put one in a box with the products for at least 3 years. The included holder is a rail that clamps to the frame. Kingsley buys alot of those suction holders, I assume because the bracket isn't the easiest to use with acrylic.
