I think I'm ready for fish (feedback needed)

It's been awhile since I setup a new tank. I had a 55gal. laying around and decided to do a FO w/ it. I didn't want to dump a whole lot into this project so I went w/ the essentials.
My equipment:
Aqua Clear 110 filter
Aqua C Remora skimmer
2 MJ 1200's on a Chauvet light timer
2 Ebo Jager 150w heaters
2 Coralife digital temp gages
DSB (this is new to me)

This tank was setup last weekend and filled. I also added 5 gal. of water from an established (2 years) FO tank. I tested my water tonight and pH was 8.2, amonia 0, nitrites 0, and nitrates 10 ppm. I tested earlier this week and all the param's where the same (although I didn't have the power filter on there at that time). My nitrates are holding steady which has me wondering if it is time to add a fish to finish off my cycle. This tank is for a Humma only. I know this is on the small side for a Humma but I think I will be fine. I also know that people have been having trouble w/ DSB's but I feel that the ones that had trouble weren't properly maintaned.

So what do you guys think? Should I add a damsel to finish my cycle or should I do something else. Or, am I ready for my trigger? TIA.

You need live rock or base rock. Once you get a min of 40lbs I would throw a dead shrimp in let it rot and watch it cycle no need to mistreat a damsel.

Triggers like rocks to pick at and to sleep in and have a place to hide. You still need to cycle the tank useing uncured rock or a damsel or shrimp.

I would add the rock, but cant you cycle a tank with a trigger? I have seen it done before. I have never tried it, so I am not sure if myabe the one I saw just got lucky or not.

There's no need or reason to use a fish to cycle a tank when the live rock will do the trick. Why make a living thing suffer needlessly when there is an easy alternative?

Just get some live rock and feed an invisible fish for a few weeks. That way the cycle will be able to handle the bio-load from a trigger. They are very messy eaters and you need to get the bacteria up to handle the load from that type of fish.

Another vote for the invisible fish: I used Formula One daily, one invisible fish's worth of flake tossed in and allowed to cycle. Nothing left over to hide in your rocks and be a pain. Nothing you get fond of and then have to get another tank to save from your trigger.
