i think my pump just died?

i have a rio 1200 (i believe) running my reef devil skimmer, my gfci tripped (false trip) and so it had to start back up again. it usually struggles a little bit to get the water head up and over the tall part of the inlet, but once it clears the top it's good. this time, it just couldn't get it over for some reason and after trying for awhile it stopped. now plugging it in does nothing. is the pump dead? any way to repair it?

I had a simmilar problem with a mag pump, it gradually lost it's power. I threw it out and got and Eheim, best submerible pump I've ever owned!

thanks jjk, is the eheim quiet? my wife was not a fan of the noise the rio made.
