Hey guys,
So I have a batch of fish within my qt system and a week or two into quarantine I notice signs of ich starting to pop up.
No big deal, I've dealt with this before and ill most certainly have to deal with it again in future. I drop the salinity down to 1.008-1.009 and begin my hypo treatment.
Three weeks into my hypo treatment, an error in measurement results in me changing the water with new water of a slightly higher salinity. This brings my salinity in the tank up to about 1.010. Not a big deal I thought.
A few days later though I start to notice spots on my new lipstick tang. Apparently that slight increase was a big deal. I got the salinity back down to 1.008-1.009 and braced myself for another 4-6 weeks of treatment.
A week into this second round though and the spots on my lipstick don't appear to have changed. I know it can take time for the lesions to heal but wanted to get a second (or third or fourth) opinion on whether I am actually treating the right condition.
Should I stay the course with hypo or start looking at other treatment options?
The pictures are not the best quality as they were taken on my phone. If you need higher quality images to base an opinion on, let me know and ill break out my camera equipment.
