So I was pretty much going to say I'm done because I'm moving and lack of maintenance from a surgery had my disheartened after my tank crashed.
My mother then buys me a biocube 29 yesterday to set up at my new house.
Somebody with biocube experience please give me some tips. I hear there are some simple mods that can make it more efficient but to quote Schultz "I know nothzing!"

Welcome back! I don't know anything about biocubes but let me know if there's anything else you need. I can set you up with some frags or if you want your wellso back I can do that. It's looking really good.

What type of coral did you want to have in it? You can easily gut out the hood/light and add in a LED setup. The middle back chamber can allow for a custom made rack (egg crate) setup for filter needs.. Refugium..ect. You can also up the power head in the outtake/last chamber for higher flow.
I tossed out the bio balls and placed rubble rock in the 1st chamber and kept a sponge in the bottom middle.
Newer style biocubes has a clear unpainted window in the mid back. Does yours? If not you should be able to scrape off the paint and add a light over the refugi.
Welcome back.

I definitely plan to scrap bio balls for some highly porous rubble rock. Honestly I haven't even opened the box yet but I'm assuming it's a newer style unless it sat on a shelf a long time.i know a small refugium is better than none at all but is it worth it in this case or should I go with the skimmer option?
Options for higher flow?
