i want to get a Carberryi Anthias for my 75g

Carberryi Anthias (Nemanthias carberryi) what do i kneed to know to keep them?
or should i try a Queen Tiger Anthias (Pseudoanthias lori)

That fish Is on my wish list too.... I ordered it from LFS but they arrived dead!! They came from sherlanka or somthing. Then I ordered then from another LFS and they look bad..... Sombody else bought them!!

I think other then what LiveAquaria tells you for about this fish is all you need to know for the Carberryi Anthias. I think a Nemanthias carberryi would be better for your tank then a Pseudoanthias lori.

My understanding is that most anthia species, do well when there is more than one of the same species

I don't think Liveaquaria has actually had these for ages.

I got 1 male and 3 female Carberryi Anthias from Petsolutions back in February; the 3 females died pretty quickly (one was pretty bad off on arrival, 2 others fine but died a few days later; not sure why.)

I've had the 1 male since; he's fine, doesn't fight with anyone else, is always active and nice and visible in the front of the tank. I have an autofeeder feeding flake twice a day then I feed frozen food of various kinds at night.

I believe Petsolutions doesn't currently have any either.

One thing to keep in mind is there are two color morphs of these; there's one that's purple and yellow that apparently mimics Evansi anthias, and the other morph (the one I have) is a solid peach/yellowish color.

However on all the vendor sites they use a pic of the purple and yellow morph.

I have 4 cariberris and are doing fine. I think they are more at home with other anthias as long as they aren't harrassed. They seem a bit more shy than other species. Mine didn't have the distinct purple/yellow coloration. More overall yellow and peach as was mentioned earlier by someone. Still neat fish just not as bright as I was expecting. I took them at least a week before they all started taking food. I'd pick them over the queens IMO.

I would tell who ever you order from what you want. Wholesalers may just bag what they have so be specific. Good luck. Anthias are awesome fish!
