I want to split my new ricordeas

If I cut the head off the base and split the head the base and the split sections would essentially grow into new schrooms correct?

I haven't split schrooms before and I just want to make sure before I do it.

Do they get PO'd and release any toxin that would affect my sps that my carbon wouldn't be able to handle?

I cut mine right in half and it worked for me.

you should be ok in doing that. Get a small tuperware container... fill it with say rubble rock or calcium reactore media and let the pieces attach on their own. Once they do, glue them to whatever you like.
