Who, the OP or Dennis? Dennis sounds pretty articulate and makes cogent points. The OP doesn't capitalize or type in complete sentences. You be the judge.

and as for you. sorry am am not perfect like you a capitalize my sentences. some people just like to pick. all i ask is, what you would do in this situation. instead you attack. look i didnt capitalize. i must be wrong!!!!!!

All I'm trying to say is that the way you represent yourself in text, here on RC, is an indicator to me of how you communicate with people. Maybe it's not an absolute, but if I had to judge the situation based on how the two sides present themselves, Dennis comes off being a little more together and thoughtful.

I'm not saying you guys didn't have a disagreement or that he was/wasn't rude. He can't smell the phyto over the phone, I can't clairvoyantly see the phone call in question. My perception, for whatever it's worth, is that you seem a little impulsive and more than a little defensive. Maybe it's not how you are out there in the world, but hey, this is the internet, the only sense of the situation I have is how you present it here. There are plenty of situations where people roast a vendor online with some sort of goal/objective in mind; a little skepticism never hurt anyone.

What would I do, aside from posting a thorough and clear explanation of my problem? Set up a phyto culture station or buy bottles of phyto from someone in my local club. Here in Dallas, people tend to sell starter cultures or 2L bottles full of phyto for $5. I don't know what it's like in your area but I'm sure if you asked around someone would have some.

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I don't think this is typical customer service for DTs. Everyone has a bad day and it would be hard for me to write them off after one call, even though Dennis should have behaved more professionally.

Did you try working with the place who sold you the DTs? Usually it only spoils b/c it's been allowed to warm up or b/c it was really old. If it went over in 2 weeks, I'd guess your LFS didn't take good care of it on their end, or you need to check your fridge's thermostat. ;)

thank you for being nice. you know how to talk to people. that is a hard thing to find in people ,in todays world.

I have always wondered why people have used DT's.

I use nothing in my tank and my tank is doing great. Seems these products do more to pollute a reef than help, JMO. :D

Fish poop has always worked for me.

i agree sunny just wanted to try something new for a while, but trust me, i am going back to fish poop. thank you josh

i hope that you are an english teacher or something. who has time to type in upper and lowercase, and figure in "grammar" (this is a marine forum, not an english class)....and if you want to get "technical" about grammar (which doesnt really exist, but, im not going into that) you are still abbreviating your words (it does not, and not doesn't). at this point in the game (those out of high school), you would know that abbreviations are for the so-called "less educated"...(read an MLA handbook)....

and by the way, i wouldnt recommend the DT's either, fish poo is the way to go...:D

by the way, i do find DT's reply on this thread a bit condesending, but what do i know, im just a lowly customer....

I'm not going to get into a flame war over this, let's just agree to disagree. :)

I'm sorry that Josh had a bad experience with this product. I apologize if I derailed the thread.

Taking English lessons from a man who not only smokes, but reads the MLA handbook? hehe just a little poke! When you gonna have some new corals in man? Just for your information, this is generally considered a science forum(marine biology based) so APA would be more appropriate, but I digress. I would normally just tell ya that my English ain't as bad as it used to was, but that would be just mean! If you have a chance read some Olde English and you'll find a nice little thing called a thorn, and a few other missing letters p, k, etc... I'll leave ya with this, "wan that april, in the droucht or March."

As far as Dt's is concerned, I will say this, I have no patience for either housing green liquids in my fridge unless marked Guacamole, nor do I have the time for shaking any such green liquids periodically. I think fish poo is grand, I prefer rotifers for feeding. Mr.DT does however seem angry, as does the young man, well I am 33 so I will play my cards here, but for an owner of a buisness to get that atttiude tells me either his product isn't doing well, or there is a serious lack of professionalism on his behalf, and good deal of, how shall I put this; tsk, tsk - don't put it that way on the part of the man in question

You got me, it would be clairaudience to hear remotely; clairvoyance is vision-based. Clairaudience doesn't have the same ring to it though :)

edit: Fraud?

Oh and the Bush thing is a bit of a stretch, by the way :)

Falcon41176, sorry to hear about your situation. It sounds like neither you or Dennis are having a good day. If you have a bad experience with a company (or that companies owner) vote with your wallet and let your money speak. I use DT's, but I haven't been in your situation.

zooplankton eats phytoplankton, thus if you increase the phytoplankton, you'll eventually increase zoonplankton populations.

zooplankton is then eaten by SPS.

phyto -> zoo -> SPS

Thats the theory, but in practice, we have too many zooplankton consumers. Theyre too limited to take up anywhere near the amount of phyto that is in a couple of drops of the comercial phyto addatives. So you're basically adding waste to your tank.
