What's been your experience with this coral? Is it almost impossible to keep or have most of you had good success with it? I'm looking at buying one from RCA but don't want to drop the dough if it's surely going to die on me. I have not really had bad luck with SPS. Rather I think I have done fairly well art trying then and the few pieces I have lost usually have some external factor playing a role. For instance, last month I lost my strawberry shortcake acro but this was because my urchin decided to hide it in s cave for a week before I found it. Not saying Im a pro but I'm having an alright time with sps. Now only if they would start growing.

Some people have grown this Icefire from TINY fragments.

Question is are you talking about the original Icefire from Aquascene or are you talking about the Aussie Echinata that gets called Icefire? The Ausie one can be tricky depending on how stressed it already was once you recieve it.

Don't quite know the difference but this is it. uploadfromtaptalk1424798588745.jpg

Great thanks. Ordering now. My parameters are always good so I'm hopeful.

So long as you are getting the coral in the photo and not some next fresh cut frag. Oh and carry out the usual dipping and QT if at all possible. For YEARS I was lucky with dipping only and recently I got stung by AEFW's....

If you are starting to collect nice SPS pieces I urge you to have a small QT tank.
