Icecap ballast vs Galaxy ballast

I know the Icecap ballasts are suppose to be great, but I just ordered a Lumenmax Elite 250Watty DE reflector and the guy said the Galaxy ballast would be plug and play.... any onions out there.

Sure. I'm partial to vidalia onions, but I'm sure you could get by with regular yellow onions. Be careful with white onions, they tend to have low PAR and hurt your eyes more. :bum:
 
I would not say one is better than the other. If I was running a SLS reflector I would definitly choose a galaxy. That is my opinion because I prefer the ease of plug-n-play.
 
I also like the Galaxy. I'm not sure what the warranty is on the Ice Cap but I know the Galaxy has a 5 year warranty. If that matters to you. I also agree with Greg C plug and play makes it nice!
