Icecap Spot MH Bulb

Hi all,

Am looking to upgrade my lighting and I noticed Icecap is now offering a MH pendant...aside from the pendant the bulbs look very interesting (UV enclosure, socket design, etc.)...

I'm curious if anyone has tried these bulbs and if so what's your take?

These have been out for several years, and never seemed to take off.

There really aren't very many options for bulbs (maybe 2?) with these fixtures. I owned one that I put over a nano and liked it, but the lack of bulb choice eventually led me to abandon it.

There's a review of them in an issue of Advanced Aquarist from two or three years ago. A google search should turn it up.
