ICH- Almost always there?

Are you sure it was not sand on the Tang?
My 185 that has a good 80lbs of sugar fine sand mixed with 40lbs of medium grit; I have 2 MP40's, Iwiaki 40 closed loop and a Snapper for return AND a Goby named Snow Globe that keeps the sand suspended... I get "Sand ich" as I call it, weekly! Gets my attention, check an hour later and its gone.

Been through ich with my 55g and it is a true PITA to save your fish! So, when I see the white spots, I still freak out until it is diagnosed as Sand Ich.

Good luck and I hope it is just that!

I have to agree with Phil on this one, my wrasses and goby always have sand on them and by the end of the day it's gone, sometimes it's on my yellow tang and gone in a few hours..def gets your attention when you see it..hopefully that's all it was

Could be I suppose. I will be moving soon and during this process I will probably see it return if it is ich. If not I will be guessing it was something else. Hopefully sand Ich ;-)
