Ich and corals

Well I didn't t quarantine a fish long enough and now have ick in the display tank. Only one fish is showing it but I know they all have it. I'm going to do the tank transfer technique for the fish and let the display be fallow for the 9 weeks. My question is, I' d like more corals down the road and realize they could bring ick back into display tank, so how is everyone handling the corals? Do you need to keep them in an isolated tank for 9 weeks, with the same lighting as display tank?

I plan to set up a separate QT tank for inverts only. Any new additions would be isolated for 10 weeks before introduction into the DT. I had ich come in on a piece of coral, so I am now quarantining everything. Before, I just quarantined my fish, but obviously that wasn't enough. I'm about halfway through my fallow period -- not fun.

Does anyone still dip newly acquired corals in an iodine dip? I did it for years to kill off any hitch-hikers and never had issues with corals, but I always used a QT with a low dose of copper. Always worked.

I use CoralRX to dip all new corals, but it does not kill ich cysts that might be attached to the coral skeleton.
