ich and invertebrates?

Shockakahn: Do you believe either of those medications were effective in eliminating ich? Results seem to indicate that they are somewhat reef safe but how effective?

Ich (Cryptocaryon irritans) can be brought into a display by way of invertebrates. When the parasite drops off its fish host, it forms a cyst/egg to reproduce. This cyst can attach to any hard substrate including snail shells, hermit crab shells, etc. But, when they hatch, the parasite must find a fish host to continue living. They cannot survive in the presence of invertebrates only.
