I am new to this salt water stuff have done fresh for about 5 years then converted anyhow I have started a 100 gal tank with live rock I let it cycle with the live rock for about 5 weeks until all was good and then added fish suddenly I had a outbreak of some type of Ich I believe.
all my fish have now died except fox face . I am not sure how to handle this I could quarantine my last fish and treat the tank (copper) but I don't want to kill my live rock. is the live rock infected too? maybe removing the fish and letting display tank set with live rock and No fish the Ich will die and its own . I don't know I'm so confused someone please help.

Remove the fish and let the tank sit for 12 weeks with no fish. Stock it with inverts and corals then count your 12 weeks fallow period from your last addition to the tank. Make sure you QT everything wet in the future.

Just to expand on what RBU1 said, after removing the foxface you can treat him with copper or hyposalinity. And definitely quarantine any new fishes.

Raise the temp in the tank to 80F as well to speed up the lifecycle of the parasite. Also, I have had great success in my own tank and helping others with a 6 week fallow period with the tank at 80F. I have even gotten away with a month, but I still think 6 weeks is best.

I'm one of the "others" Patrick speaks about above.....When I transferred everything to my new tank, I let the tank sit fallow for about 5 weeks.

While the tank was sitting fallow, the rest of my fish were in 3 different QT's undergoing copper treatments. The new tank has been running for well over a year without 1 outbreak of Crypt...and it's packed full of tangs.

Whats should I do hyposalinity whcih I have already started or Copper? how can I be sure the Ich is all gone from the fish before I put them back in the Display Tank

Hypo will work, and if you have already gone that route you can stick with it. Key points in the process are a sg of 1.009 / salinity of 12ppt, and a temperature of around 80F. One thing to mention, a calibrated refractometer, precision floating hydrometer or salinity meter should be used, the swing arm models are too difficult to pin-point salinity just by the nature of their design. A few points off could void the entire treatment.

If you maintain those parameters for 4 weeks in QT you can be sure that you're putting a healthy fish back into a healthy display. If during treatment you start seeing the parasite rear is ugly head again, you'll need to re-check your parameters and continue treatment for another 4 weeks.
