Ich...argh!

I can't believe it, but that *^%#! pb tang has ich after 5 days in normal salinity. How can this be? The whole tank was at 1.008 for 8 weeks. What I want to know is, what should I do now? I put the corals back in. They were in a rubbermaid tub and Erin's aquapod. Her aquapod has rock, coral, inverts, a neon goby and yasa-hasa shrimp goby. The rubbermaid tub has a 50 lb rock, hob filter, and powerheads.

Last time I saw ich in my tank I added garlic to the fish food a few days in a row and it went away.

My Blue hippo had ich every now and then for the 6 years I had her. Cleaner shrimps always took care of it and it never got out of hand. Keep the fish from stress and it should blow over. No doubt that the raising of salinity stressed her a bit causing the slime coat to stop protecting her. PBT's always get ich and I am sure it's no different in the wild. The one in my show tank has a few spots every now and then but I put about 3 additional cleaner shrimp in there, and they control it(total of 5-6).

I don't think it could have survived, were there fish in any of the tank you had the coral in? It could have come back with the coral. Olin is the expert in this area so you might PM him.
