New fish in QT for 76 days doing fine eating well
Is it safe to assume it is ich free? Or do i assume its just asymptomatic but ich is still in the QT?
QT and new fish are untreated.
Firefish
Banghaii cardinal
Yellow clown goby
Curious about clownfish as well but they are not in QT at the moment they've been doing fine in DT > 1 year

All of those are unlikely to show ich. You'd have to black molly test the QT to know for sure. Basically, convert a couple of freshwater black mollies over to full SW, place them in the QT and wait a couple of weeks to see if they "hit" with ich.
The mollies wouldn't be sacrificed. The moment they show a clear sign of an ich infection you just transfer them back to freshwater and the ich dies. After that they will likely be at least partially immune against ich, so you can't use them again as indicator fish. That's also why you need to make sure to get mollies that have never before been in saltwater where they could have been exposed to the parasite.
