Lost my yellow tang and a beau greggory damsel._ I don,t see any other signs of it on the other fish, but I am sick over this. now I am afraid to put anything else in the tank. I guess I didn't QT the beau greggory long enough. If everything else survives I may start adding corals and have a coral only tank eventually. I don't know if you can ever geet rid of ich once you get it in the system, I will not be using copper so i guess its going to be wait and see what happens.

you need to remove all fish and let the tank be fallow for 6-8 weeks, treat the fish in a seperate tank with copper and put them back in after the fallow period. Good luck.

I am looking at a 6 to 8 month period without fish. This is my first trouble with ich in saltwater, I have dealt with it before in freshwater. We are about to start some remodling in our house and possibly going to sell and move outside the city limits in a couple of years so the hobby is on the back burner for now.

You can also use hyposalinity to cure ick in a QT. Again, the display tank needs to be fishless for 6-8 weeks.

Lost all but two damsels going to move them tommorow, I may quit for a while. If I do I will have some stuff to sell.
