Yep. I had a Powder Blue tang that looked just like that. Unfortunately it didnt make it. Since then I have done what I should have done from the beginning (QT). From what I have seen the acchiles is very prone to ich just as the PB is. Hope you have better luck than I did.

Yeah I was sure it was Ich, It has been eating great, I had it in my 75 b4 I upgraded to my 180 about a month ago, I added a Harlequin Tusk and didnt quarantine it like a idiot and am kicking myself now, I dont have enough quarantine tanks to quarantine all my livestock and run the tank fallow for 10 weeks and I cant catch the Achilles as I have about 300 lb of rock in there. Luckily this Achilles is eating very well and hopefully it will be able to build up its immune system, I had a PB also that had ich and it was able to get over it on its own and was doing great b4 I got rid of it.

I would say just keep your water quality up and feed well. Lots of algae and food saoked in vitamins. In my expierience breaking down the tank to catch the fish causes more stress, that in my opinion kills the fish anyway. That is an awesome fish so I hope it makes it. Where did you get it? What size is it?

Another thing you can try. I did it recently in my tank after a discussion with Seachem. Take focus and metronidazole and mix them together in equal parts. Add some garlic and food to make like a paste. Feed it to the fish daily for at least 3 weeks. I only fed it for 2 weeks because I ran out of Metronidazole. The fish are ich free now so I am not sure if its from nature or the treatment. Worth a shot in my opinion. If you want to sell that fish let me know.....

The Achilles is about 3-4 inches, maybe a little bigger, I got it from the store I work at, we are a seafood market but got into the hobby and decided to expand our hobby and set up about 10 tanks, I had the boss order this fish specifically for me. I paid $67.00 for it. The same day I got it my lfs got one and they wanted $190.00. The one they got had got ich within about a day and a half and died by the end of that week, mine has had this ich for about 2 weeks or so and hasnt lost appetite or anything so I feel that it has a good chance of surviving.

I agree that it would stress the fish more by taking tank apart and catching it.
