ich infestation, Help!

it appear that i have a Cryptocaryon irritans infestation, i was looking at my fish and i noticed 2 of them had some white spots all over them. My cleaner goby and flame angelfish have it, my yellowed tailed damsel seems clean. the only other thing i have is a turbo snail. what should i do? I have a 29gal biocube, i don't really have a QT, all i have is a fish bowl at the moment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could remove rock, sand and snail to a plastic tote and treat the 29 gallon with copper, flames can be a hit or miss with copper though.

I don't have faith in hypo anymore due to its room for error and my own personal failures.

@Mrscribbled if he treats the whole tank to copper he wont be able to house any corals so keep that in mind Matt. Your best bet would be a QT. 10 gallon tank with some copper meds, air stone and maybe a hob filter if you have one.

If he removes substrate and rock he will be able to run poly filters and remove the copper, copper will not bond to silicone, glass, plastic like many think. I've many tanks previously used with copper and used later for coral.

+1 This old just won't die. Copper does not stick to glass or silicone sealant. If it did, the copper level in my QT would be so high that any additions would die as soon as they hit the water. Read the next-to-last FAQ:http://www.seachem.com/Products/product_pages/Cupramine.html

so do i need to put water with my rocks and snail? i was just going to put them into a cooler.

so i picked up a 15gal QT with a hang on back filter put a power head heater and airstone in it as well. i put my flame angel and cleaner goby in it, i am having a lot of trouble getting my damsel out of my DT any tips or is there a real need to tank him out to to his hardiness

I'd take out all fish from the DT tank so the parasite cannot host and strive.

Put all fish in the QT. Took me hours to remove all 7 of my fish but its possible. Get a big net and use your other hand as a decoy. Patience is key.

What are you using for established bio filtration? Tank your size remove rock then catck fish.

With a 29 gal tank: siphon most of the water into a Brute container or two. All the fish will be in the small areas that still have enough water. This works with big tanks too, but use brute garbage cans, pumping the water back or use buckets. Sure beats chasing then all over; corals are fine out of water for a bit too.

Ich doesn't care how "hardy" a fish is. Many tangs are bulletproof, except for their very low resistance. All fish need to come out our ich won't be wiped out.
