Can anyone tell me what's causing all the little white spots? She's been in my tank for two weeks. She's very active and eating well.

That's Ich and it's a lot. They are going to be overwhelmed with it in a bit. Any other fish in there? I have Ich in one of my tanks, but I've never treated it. Your case, that I would treat.

Defiantly ich, not velvet. Fish with velvet don't eat or act normally. I assume this fish isn't in a QT/HT. All fish this fish has been exposed to also need treatment. Treating ich in a DT is very difficult; in a reef, its impossible. FWIW; I don't think this fish has much time before he starts downhilll fast, the parasites in his gills must be awful. You need to get your fish in a suitable treatment tank ASAP.

+1 if your purple tang is showing signs of ich I'm surprised no other fish are showing signs. Get some cupramine or chloroquine phosphate today and start treating.

I agree bro....def get that fish and all of the others in QT. I'm having an ich problem right now as well. Gotta treat them all so you don't have to worry about it later.
