You don't dip the fish in copper, you put them in a tank that has copper concentrated at .5 ppm and then you leave the fish in there for 4 weeks. then slowly worth the copper out of the system.
While the fish is in that tank getting copper treated you should have no fish in the display tank for the same period.
Return the fish to the DT after you are done with the copper treatment.
