Ich QT Question

can any one tell how can ich survive 28 days copper treatment? really concern about this.

Depending on temperature, salinity and/or species of fish, the life cycle of Cryptocaryon can vary. The average life cycle is ~2 weeks, but the parasite doesn't always play by the rules. Some strains have been reported to remain encysted for up to 72 days, for example. Bear in mind also that copper and similar treatments only affect one stage of the life cycle (the theront, or swimming stage), so if the treatment falls below the therapeutic dosage when theronts are released, they can reinfect the fish and continue the cycle. This is why it is important to test copper levels daily, particularly before lights out when the theronts are released.
