Ich treatment advice.

So A while back I got ich, I removed all fish from display tank. Today is day 60 of the tank being fish free. The fish has since been treated with copper and have zero signs of ich.

It's is safe to put the fish back in the display tank at this point. Everything I read said it's beyond the point of ich being able to survive.

Any advice???

I would wait the full 72 days, you've gone this long, wait 12 more days and there is an extremely low chance of it surviving, at 60 days you are still in the 5-10% chance of still having ich in the tank.

My friend had a ich battle, we had heard of soaking food in garlic, we wanted to try this before we trapped all the fish. So what we did was everyday we soaked the fish food in bright wells garlic power along with selcon and the ich was gone this was about a year ago and still no signs of ich. We currently soak our food in Brightwells garlic and selcon a few times a week.

Sorry but the ich is not gone, it is still in the gills of the fish. Also continous feeding of garlic to fish is unhealthy their livers cant handle it. At least i think it's the liver, or some other organ. The reason your not seeing it anymore is because the fish are able to fight it off and your tank is more stable. Make a big change to your tank and stress your fish out and you will see the ich again.

The only ways to truely rid ich are hypo, copper, and tank trasfer. And you must leave the main tank fishless for 72 days.

I will second waiting the few more days. You have already made the hard choice of leaving your tank fallow, and paid the price of keeping your fish in QT. Don't risk having to do it again.

I am a believer in garlic in keeping your fish more healthy and preventing ich.

Many say no.

I use to soak Seaweed Select with garlic before they added it to Seaweed Select Algae sheets. I do not know if Seaweed Select has the garlic additive anymore. (from their website the garlic is still an additive.... but no longer carry Brown Algae.... ugh)

I have a yellow tang that is over 12 years old and a Cream/Singapore Angel that is 15 years old that have been eating garlic seaweed select for 10 plus years.

the liver thing i have never heard of. but they don't get garlic every day.

only need/should feed garlic to entice eating while the fish are down-in-the-dumps, not routinely. it will help them get their strength back while pushing through the infestation. no other benefit will come from the garlic in terms of a deterrent to Ich though.

agreed above though, you likely just have healthy and other-wise stress-free fish that are battling the Ich internally just fine, hence why you aren't showing spots. good slime coat, etc, preventing infesting all over the body. gills are fair-game at all times though.
