Here's what one WetWebMeida crew member had to say about Kick-Ich:
"IMO, this stuff is better used as salad dressing than a fish "medication"...and please don't use it in your main tank! It's really a "pepper sauce", intended to make the fish slough off body slime in the hope that the parasites go with it...Also- are you sure that ich is what you are dealing with? Please verify the illness (assuming it is an illness, not just an injury) before using any medication. Sometimes, administering the wrong medication can be worse than not medicating a fish at all."
Remember that nothing, nothing, is "reef safe". If you dump anything in your main tank with any inverts, you will most likely kill them (and maybe the ich).
Your best bet is to remove all fish to a hospital tank, raise the temp in the hospital tank to mid-80s, and treat with copper (so long as your fish are not ones that do not tolerate copper, in which case you'll have to use another method--formalin, etc.). Also, raise the temp on your display to mid-80s and let sit for 6 weeks minimum.
